Words Do Not Define Me

My hands shake and my heart pounds as I try to make sense of what has just happened.  I don’t know how to handle this situation that has just presented itself.  Should I quit my job or stay and face a situation that seems to be spiraling out of control?  I am at a complete loss.  If I quite my job, I lose all that I have worked to accomplish here.  Will there be a successor in my place or will my position be consumed by budgetary consolidations?  Will the progress I have made revert to chaos?  -And what about me, my life and that of my father?  But how can I go on being tormented by a coworker that has been targeting me since the very first day she began working here?  There is a tingling, metallic taste at the back of my mouth that tells me I am…
