I’ve been trying to set goals for myself. Trying. See, in being self-published, I’m practically my own boss, and sometimes the boss and employees like to go to bars and twerk their small booties to their heart’s contents. What? I’m not projecting at all (alright, I might or might not have gone out with my girls last night). Lately, I haven’t been writing 1,000 to 2,000 words a day, like I wanted.
And you know what’s worse? I keep thinking back at past things I’ve rewritten just to rewrite those parts again. For example, the prologue of my story could be way more exciting. Just like every other ghost story, we need a disturbed kid and his drawings to draw the reader in (ha! See what I did there?). I’m super excited to write this part, but part of me thinks that maybe I’m taking a step back.
