I Just finished the April Camp NaNoWriMo, which is an exercise in writing fluently, and without the internal editor to stop the writing flow. I was able to make my goal, but now I have to go back and edit. Of course, any first draft needs editing.
After a month’s time, I started looking back at the beginning of my story – I opened up a dialogue with a critique group, and it was agreed – IT NEEDED A LOT OF WORK!
So the question remains – was it worth the effort – I humbly say YES.
